Caste System-Weakening the Country
INDIA is going to be a super-power by 2050, I kept on reading and listening to this from many sources, for many years. But the bitter truth is we are still entrapped in the believing of the past, from which one is the caste system (It is a system of social stratification on the basis of their type of work) which is eating and weakening our country from the inside. I believe that until and unless we are out of it, we cannot be a super-power country truly.
The problem of casteism is very severe in the villages where the peoples still wants to believe in the past, the effect of the caste system is comparatively less in the cities, but it is not completely finished. The other problem of the increasing casteism is because our politician who instead of uprooting the problem from the society, regularly keeps on arousing it. These people use this caste system to increase their vote banks. Now a days, with the grace of these politicians the peoples of a particular castes are benefited over the other only because to get support from the peoples of that castes, and other are excluded. Why is that, one particular community gets the benefit and others don't? The others are not persons? Why is the discrimination between the two?
The division peoples on the basis of their castes is not from now, the roots of caste system in INDIA comes from the Vedic period. In the past there were four major castes (Jatis, जाति) on the basis of their work, they were mainly the Barhmins (बर्ह्मिण), Kshatriyas (क्षत्रियास), Vaishyas (वैश्यस) and Shudrasn (शुद्रास) and there were some who were ostracized by all other castes and treated as untouchables they were called as dalits (दलित). This caste system is still followed in this modern age.
There are many peoples from the lower castes (like dalits, who do the dirties work of the society like the cleaning of the public toilets, picking up the garbage's) who want to come out of this system, they want to educate their children so that they can recognized in the society, so that their children don't have to do what they are doing to feed their children's, but the society doesn't let them do that. Why? Because they think, these peoples are untouchables and they are meant to what they are doing and also if they are not doing this then who will do this. Seriously, this is the reason for that? This shows the poor mentality of the people of the country.
If we do not let ourselves above this, then we will have problem, problems which we will not able to resolve. Every person in the country is responsible especially the politicians who should do every thing to stop this caste system, stop the discrimination of people on the basis of their castes. Each and every people in this country should be considered as equal, because when a newly born child comes on Earth, he/she doesn't know all this (the caste system), it is we who differentiate them in different classes (Castes). If we stop discriminating the people on the basis of the their castes and treat everyone equal, then we will be one. Then only we will be able to fight with other problem of the society and the country.
