Eighteen soldiers were killed by four heavily armed terrorist/militant on September 18, 2016 in Uri area of Baramulla district (Indian-administered state of Jammu and Kashmir). It is not the first time that some militant or terrorist group had attacked India. In early this year there was an attack on Pathankot Air Force Station, part of the Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force.
